Happy New Year!

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this blog as well as I have wanted to but just been so busy. I'm sure every one understands with the holidays and all that jazz. I'm just glad I have been able to continue to get a new Seaclops page out every week since launch of the site. This newest story arc is one I am most proud of. I feel like I have a good handle on most of the tools and my style of coloring. I never set out for this to be a color comic. I was fine with it just being black and white but when I was looking around I thought "How can I take this to the next level?" and many horribly colored pages later (Some sadly made it to the website, but at least I can look back and see how far I have come.) I am fairly happy with the final product. There is still so much more I would like to do. I think soon I will be going with a 11x17 page size to work from. I feel like my work is getting a little cramped at the moment. Being a weekly comic page I want to fit as much content and story into each page as I can. I want you to leave feeling like you got something from the comic each week. Thus doing so I am trying to fit 6-7 panels per page. I am no George Perez. He is the master of many panels and them all working. I sadly cannot. So I feel most comfortable with 4-5 nice clean panels with plenty of space to work. So I think expanding the page size will help. If my work is ever collected they will hate me when they try and figure out a size for the book. Nevertheless I am having a blast with this comic and getting ready for Con Nooga. If you are in the Chattanooga Tennessee area please come by and say hey to me Feb 27, 28 and March 1st.

Also for Christmas I got a Funko Pop Vegeta. I love him and he is sitting next to me at the moment. So far the only Pops I have are all of the Assassins from Assassins creed and Vegeta but I can't wait from the pop Cthulhu.

Right now I am reading World's Finest vol. 3 by Paul Levitz, Robson Rocha, Emanuela Lupacchino (and one of my favorites) R. B. Silva. If you haven't read it, I recommend trying it out. It's a lot of fun and the dialogue is really light and funny but with plenty of action.

If I don't talk to you until then, have a happy and safe new year!
